Project Details
McCafferty Legal advised the transmission network service provider on the connection arrangements for the MacIntyre Wind Precinct in Queensland. The project required connection of multiple facilities to a new transmission asset being built under the new regulatory asset classification of a designated network asset.
McCafferty Legal assisted our client to negotiate the required connection agreements and also advised on the development of the access policy required by the National Electricity Rules to facilitate future access to the transmission asset, along with an associated contractual framework. The access policy developed for this project is the most mature in the market.
There are a number of designated network assets currently being developed in the NEM with the support of McCafferty Legal, and we look forward to seeing the market understanding and utilisation of designated network assets continuing to mature.
