Solar PPA
McCafferty Legal is advising Hydro Tasmania on a wholesale hedging contract with TasRex, to accelerate TasRex’s development of a new $500 million solar farm at Connorville Estates.
Renewable Energy Zone framework
McCafferty Legal continues to advise a client on the development of the Energy (Renewable Transformation and Jobs) Act (ERTJ Act) and regulations in Queensland. Our work on this project has included input to the conceptual framework and design of that legislation, and detailed review and feedback on draft legislation and regulations.
Long duration storage
McCafferty Legal is advising a client developing a long duration storage asset on the east coast of Australia.
Structuring and Restructuring
McCafferty Legal’s work in this area includes advising on corporate consolidations and restructuring of group companies, the corporate restructure of a renewable energy incorporated joint venture, the establishment of a renewable energy incorporated joint venture (including shareholders’ agreement and shareholder loans and security arrangements) and the establishment of an Asia Pacific corporate and project delivery structures for a global platform of green energy projects.
